Fun with Composites.

Forced perspective:
The tyrannosaurus is actually sitting on a small pedestal a few feet from the camera.

The pedestal was digitally removed and shadows added by hand to complete the illusion of a real dinosaur in front of the Bishop Museum.

This was a Christmas card created for Darren and Kory Aoki.

That's the real Buzz Aldrin on the moon in a real NASA photo.

The Aokis were photographed in a studio, lighted to match the original shot.

They were composited in with layers to get them to overlap Aldrin.

Shadows were added by hand, along with other details such as dust on their feet.

Note Darren's reflection in the astronaut's visor.
The Vadset's baby wasn't going anywhere.

This consists of several photos. One with protective parents holding onto the scooter along with the baby in place.

The baby's face was traded out for one with a better expression.

And family in hot pursuit was composited in after all the safety precautions were digitally removed.
